A little tool called Agora will help make that happen.

Sometimes finding an answer to a work problem can be hard. But when there’s a larger network, like the 20,000 teammates at Havas, someone is bound to know. Agora is a tool at Havas Group that can help everyone tap into one another’s know-how.

Agora is a useful platform that houses an enormous amount of resources, such as case studies, research, relevant news, and announcements. It’s been a great tool for our teammates in media. Now, everyone has access to a much-improved Agora. José Gutiérrez Cuellar, global head of client technology at Havas Group Media, shares how it can help you, what you need to know, and how to get started.

"And this tool enables all of us to leverage everyone’s know-how."

Finding information can be a challenge for every company. How does Agora help with this at Havas Group?

It seems we’re all pressed for time all the time. When we need information for, say, a pitch or project, finding what we need, when we need it, is crucial. That’s where Agora comes in.

I like to think of Agora as a magical toy box with unlimited games and fun. Every time you need something to inspire you, or to fulfill your curiosity, or you need help telling a story, then simply go to Agora. You can access it from anywhere in the world. And this tool enables all of us to leverage everyone’s know-how.

The goal is clear: We want to make sure that the knowledge of our teammates can be applied to multiple projects. In other words, we all should share what we know about each. By sharing, we make it possible for people from various parts of the organization to find our knowledge and create a meaningful collaboration with us that ultimately benefits our clients. Using Agora helps each of us exchange this information—and ensure that it’s always accessible.

How important is it that we connect with each other?

When working on something, I often feel there’s someone within the network who must have had a similar experience to whatever challenge I’m facing. So making a connection with a colleague about a complex subject can provide a powerful advantage. The faster that knowledge flows within our organization, the smarter our company will be. Tapping into a 20,000-strong community through Agora will be a game changer.

What will everyone find on Agora?

Everything. For this relaunch, we already have some 10,000 pieces of content. We’ve made sure the content is useful by curating the most relevant information for everyone.

Agora houses strategic exercises, case studies, intelligence and research, relevant news, and announcements—and its key focus will be around client-facing documents. Some content will remain confidential because of certain NDAs that are in play, but the majority is for everyone to use.

What advice do you have for people who feel unsure about using the platform?

Information is power. That’s why it’s important for each of us to share what we know. Our global chairman and CEO, Yannick Bolloré, has been leading this initiative himself—a true testament of our belief in the success of this program.

Agora is not just a tool or a platform—it’s a way of being, a mindset. A generous mindset that’s focused on thinking collectively, not individually. Through Agora, we can help each other. To make this launch simpler, we’ve set up a local Agora champion program, with a representative in each country who will ensure that this global initiative will translate into local market realities.

So what’s next?

Agora will keep evolving. We already have multiple initiatives planned in the coming months.

Agora will grow in functionality, including AI and chatbots, and will also bring together more than just the teammates at Havas—it will eventually include more Vivendi companies, creating one of the largest knowledge management systems in the world.
